威尔弗雷德·布莱斯（Wilfred Blythe），1896年11月9日生于英国，先后在利物浦大学和格勒诺布尔大学学习。第一次世界大战期间，他曾在部队服役，1921年到时为英国殖民地的马来半岛做公务员，1922-1924年在中国广东学中文，1926-1936年先后在马来亚各地担任华民护卫司，1936-1937年和1939-1940年间两次担任槟城副首领，1941-1942年担任（华人）劳工副部长，并于1942年加入马来亚部队，不久即遭日本人逮捕。日本投降后，他于1946年成为马来亚联盟（Malayan Union）的华人事务部部长，1948-1950年担任新加坡市政委员会主席，1950年起担任新加坡的殖民大臣一职，直到1953年退休。之后，他回到英国，潜心研究马来亚的华人秘密会党问题，并于1969年出版了本书。 邱格屏，女，1969年生，湖南人。 ...(展开全部)
